Jonny Thomson: 'Philosophy for Mental Health'

When: 7pm, Tuesday 12th November

Where: TR5, Trinity College

Jonny Thomson taught philosophy in Oxford for more than a decade before turning to writing full-time. He's a staff writer at Big Think, where he writes about philosophy, theology, psychology and other subjects. His first book, Mini Philosophy, is an award-winning, international bestseller, and has been translated into twenty languages. Jonny also runs the 'Mini Philosophy' Instagram page (@philosophyminis) which boast over 300k followers and aims to explain philosophical concepts in an accessible and interesting way. In his discussion of ‘Philosophy for Mental Health’, he will be discussing the practical benefits of studying and discussing philosophy on one’s mental health.
